Description

--Had to upload this image again because something happened to the previous version. Here it goes all again.--

I started drawing this a long time ago, but I finished it yesterday. It took me so much time because I'm lazy
I am a dummy!
So this is one of my OCs. I think he's the one I love most of all my characters.
He started as an idea for a writing roleplaying game for the Percy Jackson fandom. I had already created two characters (Kevin and Kathleen), then I created this one, and then two more (Steve and Isabel). Yes, I love roleplaying male characters.
For the first character, I wasn't able to choose their divine parent, so I got Hades and had to create someone who could be a child of Hades. I created Kevin Thomas Smile (he looks like model Francisco Lachowski).
For the second character (once they opened that option) I could choose whichever god or goddess I wanted to be my character's parent. I chose Athena and created my second character, Kathleen Walker.
But with time I got bored of Kathleen (she was nice, but she was in love with Kevin, and another girl was in love with Kevin as well, and I don't like love triangles), so I asked for a change. They let me, so I dropped Kathleen (she went to university outside Camp Half-Blood) and I created a new character in her place. As it was like creating a second character again, I was able to pick which god or goddess I wanted to be my character's parent. I had already an idea I had discussed with my best friend, and so I created Ragnar Halvorsen, son of Hecate (goddess of crossroads, entrance-ways, light, magic, witchcraft, knowledge of herbs and poisonous plants, ghosts, necromancy, and sorcery). I created him a bit like Loki (a bit much, I must say), but with time he changed, aquiring his own way of behaving, speaking, thinking, moving... It was like he was alive. That's why I love him so much. Because he's complex, he's a real person, he can think. Sometimes I can't even control what he's going to do. He does it and I just watch him and write. He's kind of a teen viking (he looks like a mix between model Bartek Borowiec and model Ed Marquezini).
My best friend entered the writing roleplaying game when I created Ragnar, and she created her first character. She wasn't able to choose their divine parent, and she got Apollo. She kind of hated Apollo, but she managed to create the character she already had in mind customizing it a bit to look like a child of Apollo. She created Meralis Schreave (she looks like actress Aisharya Rajesh). We had already decided that Meralis would be Ragnar's girlfriend in the future (we still haven't reached that point in the roleplay game, but we already have all their story in our minds).

As Ragnar grew up, his powers were developing and his behavior and personality were being revealed, and they were especially not pleasing to his father, a honorable man, one of the richest men in Norway. Ragnar could manipulate and distort reality using magic and Mist, and soon he could change his own appearance, not completely, but he could change details, such as his teeth shape, his hair color or his apparent age. He likes to impersonate someone older than him, with wolfish teeth and fire-red hair. He started to stand out for his cunning and trick, and also intelligence. He started to prefer attacking from behind and deviously instead of attacking frankly and facing his opponent. He started to use spells mixing magic words in Latin, Greek and Old Norse, and he created new magic word combinations and learnt other spells from old scrolls he obtained just saying his father’s name or that he found in museums.

One day he gained permanently and definitively the ability of turning himself into a huge black wolf at will. This ability was already on his blood because Hecate is known to turn into a black female dog and the dog is her sacred animal. Anyway, he prefers turning into a wolf, to honor the vikings, who used to fight that kind of beast. The more he spent on his animal form, the easier he found changing fluently from one appearance to the other, but at the same time, his behavior in human form became wilder and his behavior in wolf form became more clever, as if the two personalities merged together. His manners were getting each time more animal, but he’s still elegant. Elegantly broken.
You can read the rest of his story and personality here: docs.google.com/document/d/1Iu…
I'm currently writing a novel (a trilogy, actually) using Ragnar as the main character, but changing his story a bit so he's now a son of Loki, who is also known as "father of the wolf". That fits pretty nicely with Ragnar's powers and way of being. I mixed Ragnar's story with the idea of the Ragnarök (the Norse apocalypse) and with another story I already had in mind some years ago, about Líf and Lífthrasir (the woman and the man who will survive Ragnarök). The three things merged together gave me an awesome plot idea that I guess it will take three books to develop. I'm working on it. The trilogy will be named "Ragnarök", and the three books are "Ruin", "Rebellion" and "Redemption". Letter R everywhere CURSE YOU!
